TECHNICAL RIDER FOR FRED HO
AND THE MONKEY ORCHESTRA
THE MONKEY ORCHESTRA: 1 Conductor, 1 Vocalist and 10 instruments: ERHU (2 stringed Chinese vertical violin); PIPA (Chinese 4 stringed lute) which doubles on SANSHUEN (Chinese banjo); SONA (Chinese double reed horn) which doubles on oboe; CHROMODALPHONE (a special mutant tenor saxophone performing with mixed temperament); ALTO SAX which doubles on piccolo and flute; TENOR SAX which doubles flute and soprano sax; BARITONE SAX (Fred Ho); TROMBONE and bass trombone; STRING BASS; and DRUM SET with Chinese percussion.

for personal belongings and musical instruments and cases mineral water
and 100% juice (ABSOLUTELY NO additives, preservatives, corn syrup and
fructose) in dressing rooms at all times

System with professional operator:
16 mics with booms; 6 monitors 1 mic for singer; 1 mic for erhu (Chinese
vertical violin); 1 mic for pipa (Chinese lute); 2 mics for sona who
doubles on oboe; 1 mic on chromodalphone; 1 mic for alto sax who doubles
on other woodwinds; 1 mic on tenor sax who doubles on other woodwinds;
1 mic on baritone sax; 1 mic on trombone; 1 mic on string bass; minimum
6 mics on drum kit
- Stage
and sound equipment must be set to stage plot prior to arrival of musicians.
